FAQ
I’m curious. What are these ‘sad personal circumstances’ you mentioned?
My dad passed away recently and I’m clearing out his house. Like me, he was quite the pack-rat and I’m overwhelmed by the sheer volume and variety of stuff I’m encountering. Cleaning up after the life of a loved one is difficult, emotionally draining work. I hope you’re never in my position.
How do I ask questions about something I’m interested in?
Add a comment to the posting describing the item. I’ll respond to the comment with more information. That way others can benefit from the traffic. To make this easy for you I’ve left the ability to post comments very, very open. I work online so spam won’t last very long (he said, crossing his fingers). BTW, you should use a valid email address when you add a comment. No one can see it but me, and then I can easily send you directions and stuff when you decide to buy.
How do I contact you to arrange to purchase and pick up my stuff?
Call 732-305-0121 and ask for Rick. If a machine takes your call then leave a message including, at the very least: what you’re interested in; your name; your telephone number (along with a convenient time you can be reached, if that matters to you).
What kinds of payment do you accept? Can I use Paypal or a credit card?
All transactions are strictly cash. No large bills, please, and exact change helps. Simplicity is the key: you show up when you say you will; you pay me; you take your stuff away.
Can you ship your stuff to me?
No. You need to physically appear at my North Brunswick, New Jersey location to pay for and pick up your stuff. Look at the bright side: you get to see your stuff up close and personal before you buy.
Is your stuff guaranteed? Can I return something?
All transactions are final. I will try very hard to describe anything and everything before a transaction takes place as honestly and objectively as possible. Yeah, yeah, I know, you’ve heard it all before, but I mean it. Unless otherwise stated, everything you see listed here is used and probably could use a good clean-up, at the very least. Read any descriptions carefully and ask questions. But once you show up, pay and take the stuff away, the deal’s done.
Can I just come by and see everything you have at once?
No. That’s because what’s on the block changes as I work. You think you’ve seen it all but then you find you haven’t. This site is always up-to-date.
